Welcome
to Elk Horn Bank, a Southern Bancorp member
bank. For your convenience, we have seven
locations serving the people of Clark, Garland
and Hot Spring Counties in Arkansas in addition
to ATM locations and the World Wide Web.
Technical innovation makes Elk Horn Bank
branches available to a world economy. This
is far from the simple vision of our bank's
founders. These men wished to provide a safe
haven for the hard-earned monies of the townspeople
of a small southwest Arkansas village from
which they could finance opportunities for
growth. While simple, that vision of S. R.
McNutt and John N. Stuart that became Elk
Horn Bank in the spring of 1884 is still
intact.
Since 1884, Elk Horn Bank has played a leading
role in the economic development of communities
it serves. Local ownership and control has
fostered this dedication to community development.
This mission took on an expanded commitment
in 1988 when the newly chartered Southern
Development Bancorporation (now Southern
Bancorp) acquired Elk Horn Bank and established
it as Arkansas' first community development
bank with a goal of spurring growth in rural
southern and eastern Arkansas counties where
economic vitality is waning.
Today Elk Horn Bank has the latest banking
technology, all geared to our customer's
convenience. Boat and auto loans, home equity
loans, housing loans, business loans and
real estate loans are just part of our offerings.
Checking, savings, money market and cash
management services are here for our customers'
choosing. Through our association with Southern
Financial Solutions, Elk Horn Bank offers
investment strategies for wealth building,
mutual funds, stocks, IRAs and 401-Ks. Elk
Horn's professional financial managers have
superior knowledge they want to put to work
for you.
Through its parent, Southern Bancorp, and
affiliates, Elk Horn Bank's earnings are
used exclusively for workforce development
and other programs targeted at the economic
revitalization of rural Southern and Eastern
Arkansas and Western Mississippi, particularly
the Delta region. At Elk Horn Bank, we are
building communities and changing lives.
As we walk through the threshold of the 21st
century, financial services continue their
evolution. Elk Horn Bank is keeping pace
with the changes recognizing that they represent
the wants and needs of you, our customers.
Our staff knows this business of banking
is a lot of fun when helping to meet the
needs of others.
Regardless of the Elk Horn Bank location
you choose to visit or the manner in which
you visit (in person, by phone, through our
ATM or over the internet), please let us
know how we are doing? |
